SlingShot AI is a local-first Chrome extension with no backend server. We do not collect, store, or transmit any user data.

Your conversations, files, and preferences never leave your device.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

• No personal information
• No conversation content
• No images or files
• No browsing history
• No analytics or tracking data
• No cookies

3. How SlingShot AI Works

All processing happens entirely within your browser. Conversation text, images, and files are temporarily stored in your browser's Origin Private File System (OPFS) during a handoff and permanently deleted immediately after the transfer completes.

Nothing ever leaves your device.

4. Permissions Explained

• activeTab — Detects which AI platform you are on
• scripting — Injects handoff content into the destination AI
• tabs — Opens the destination AI in a new tab
• storage — Saves your auto-submit preference only
• clipboardWrite — Powers the Copy to Clipboard button
• declarativeNetRequest — Enables local image transfer between AI platforms without a backend proxy
• Host permissions — Required to operate on supported AI platforms (claude.ai, chatgpt.com, gemini.google.com, grok.com) and their image CDNs

5. Third Parties

SlingShot AI does not share any data with third parties.

No advertising. No analytics. No data brokers.
